As a member of the community, we invite you to pitch a technical issue that you face, and students may choose to solve that problem during the Hackathon. We welcome project pitches from all, regardless of donation; this is an opportunity for you to walk away with a technological solution to your problem, for free. We want to make the process as easy as possible for you. As such, we will work with you however you would like.

Community projects will be pitched to competitors around 6:45 pm on Friday, April 12th. We would love to have you come pitch your project in person to the competitors. However, if you would prefer, you can explain your project pitch in writing to us and we will present the project idea for you and share your description with competitors. Pitches are limited to 5 minutes. It is encouraged, though not necessary, to sponsor your project idea to encourage competitors to choose to build it. Past sponsorships have been small prizes that you give to the team of your choosing who best builds your project; these prizes in the past have included: $100 split among the team, letters of reference, gift cards, and other small incentives.

To submit your pitch, please email us at with your project pitch and any questions you may have. The success of this event is much attributed to community members such as yourself, so thank you for supporting the LumberHacks Hackathon and the Computer Science Club.
